THE OFF- BROADWAY HIT PLAY  COMES TO LOS ANGELES FOR 3 SHOWS ONLY!

Black Angels Over Tuskegee is the story of the Tuskegee Airmen told in narrative of six men embarking upon a journey to become pilots in the United States Army Air Forces. The play explores their collective struggle with Jim Crow, their intelligence, patriotism, dreams of an inclusive fair society, and brotherhood. The play goes beyond the headlines of the popular stories of the Tuskegee Airmen and exposes the men who exhibited the courage to excel, in spite of all the overwhelming odds against them.   

In addition to performing at the Smithsonian Institute Black Angels Over Tuskegee won an NAACP Award for Best Ensemble, A New York Audelco Award for Special Achievement and an Artistic Director Achievement Award for Best Play. The play lands in Los Angeles in its 2016 tour whereas in the past has received nationals sponsorships from The National Urban League, NAACP, Wells Fargo,Time Warner Cable, Tuskegee University just to name a few.

The play debuted  Janaury 2008 at the Whitmore Lindley Theatre before it's transfer to New York City.  It comes back  North Hollywood to celebrate it's 7th year where it all begin. The show is still running in New York City and has been on the New York Times Readers Choice of plays to see "twice." 

The play recently performed a private show for the  2015 NFL Buffalo Bills. Head coach Rex Ryan who has seen the show four times is one of the play's biggest fans. "The play was as good as advertised," Ryan said. "The message was outstanding, about teamwork, the way you have to take care of each other, the way you have to go through adversity and still go out and function on a high level." Black Angels Over Tuskegee also performed for the 2010 and 2012 New York Jets teams.
